21 hours per week - Permanent

Becoming an adult in Judaism is a significant moment in a person’s life. We want the energy and enthusiasm that builds up towards the big day to continue for a lifetime.

We are looking for a creative project manager with a background in Jewish education to lead this exciting new project to establish lasting connections between young people and their community as part of the Chief Rabbi’s awards scheme for school years 6-9.

Responsibilities are:

• To implement the Chief Rabbi’s Award Scheme and to integrate it with Community and Tribe programmes

• To work with communities and individuals to compile resources and ideas for families who have children approaching Bar or Bat Mitzvah

• To facilitate and develop resources to support and train Bnei Mitzvah teachers

• To develop a forum for teachers and families to share resources

• To facilitate and manage the Bnei Mitzvah Weekend.

You will have proven ability to manage projects from start to finish as well as the ability to set deadlines and prioritise accordingly. You must be able to work independently, have good attention to detail and be driven to deliver results. The successful candidate will have a strong knowledge and understanding of current Bnei Mitzvah practices, Jewish Laws and Customs. Fluency in Hebrew reading is also essential.
