Part time Cheder Teacher
Sunday 9:30-12:30 + planning
Salary: Dependent upon Experience
Mill Hill Cheder is a dynamic, friendly and exciting Sunday morning Cheder, with over 130 children aged between 5 and 11. We are keen for children to enjoy discovering Judaism by learning about it in a fun way.
We seek to appoint an inspirational teacher, to join our team from September 2018. You will need a good level of Jewish knowledge as well as relevant teaching/youth work experience.
The ability to work effectively with children of the relevant ages is essential as well as the aptitude to demonstrate empathy, confidence, enthusiasm flexibility, diligence whilst maintaining a high level of personal integrity.
The key responsibilities are:
- To plan and teach creative lessons
- Organise arts and crafts and creative work
- To assist organise, plan and participate in activities, alongside other teachers and the Rabbi
- Participate in professional development and training
