Rabbi/Rabbinic Couple

Central Synagogue is a long established modern and orthodox community with some 700 members. 

The community has a warm friendly and informal atmosphere that embraces communal diversity and celebrates spiritual growth.

We are now seeking an inspirational and charismatic Rabbi/Rabbinic couple to lead our community, looking after the spiritual, religious, educational and pastoral needs of our diverse membership.

The ideal candidates will be highly self-motivated, energetic, well-organised and have excellent communication skills. 

They will utilise these skills to inspire, challenge and engage our members and their families with empathy, warmth, enthusiasm and innovative thinking.

The Rabbinic post is a full-time role that will excite and challenge the highest calibre of candidates.

It offers a Rabbi/Rabbinic couple the opportunity to make a lasting contribution to one of the UK’s flagship Jewish communities and British Jewry as a whole.

The role will entail providing religious and spiritual leadership to the community and working closely with the Honorary Officers. 

We seek candidates with a modern-day leadership approach to the whole community.

The personal attributes and abilities of the Rabbi/Rabbinic couple will be as important as their formal qualifications. 

The successful candidates will be required to help determine the future path of our community and inspire the entire membership towards an ongoing connection with core Jewish values.

We shall be pleased to engage with serious candidates with the necessary skill sets in determining the best leadership model to take our community into the next generation.
