Social Responsibility Intern - Jewish Living Department

6 months - Full Time including evenings and Sundays

£18,500 pro rata, Per annum

United Synagogue’s social responsibility mission is to teach the importance of Jewish responsibility to other, to encourage more acts of charity and kindness and to inspire our communities to make a difference within the Jewish community and the wider community we live in.

With the expansion of our social responsibility programmes, we require an intern to facilitate the delivery of the existing initiatives and to help develop new ideas.

You will be passionate about helping the less fortunate and have a hands on attitude willing to get busy with any task needed. You must have strong project and time management skills, good organisational skills, and able to communicate with both lay leaders and professionals. You must have experience as a proactive team member contributing to the success of the project, and have knowledge of the Orthodox Jewish customs and practice.

Driving license and being comfortable driving to new locations is essential.

Being able and willing to help with picking up heavy loads, transporting goods from one location to another and light manual labour is essential.
