Afikoman – The Seder Desert

At the end of the Seder meal and just before we conclude the telling of the Pesach story, we eat the Aficoman which has been found from its hiding place.

The custom after eating this is that no more food is consumed until the morning so that the taste of Matzah remains on our palette.

Thus all recipes for desert in our menu should be viewed as ‘pre-desert’ recipes.
