On Monday, Sharon Feldman-Vazan attended Nightingale House in South London and presented the “KLBD Kosher Roadshow”.

The event was put on by the South London Community Support Service which is jointly funded by Jewish Care and Nightingale Hammerson to serve members of the Jewish Community in South London.

There were over 70 attendees representing all 14 Jewish communities in the wide area within the M25 and beyond. There are over 14,000 Jewish people (according to the 2011 census) and the communities assisted by the service are in Catford, Bromley, Croydon, Kingston, Richmond, Staines, Streatham,  Sutton, Weybridge and Wimbledon.

Stephen Ison, organiser of the event, commented: “It was extremely successful in that, apart from being a very enjoyable event, the attendees learnt about an impressive range of KLBD Certified products available to them all locally without the need to go to kosher shops. They also learnt about the process of certification and the excellent work carried out by the London Beth Din."
