Salary: £2,400 per annum, circa.

Term time.  Sundays 9.15 am -12.45 pm

We are looking to appoint an inspirational teacher with KS2 experience to join our team. You will need a good level of Jewish knowledge as well as relevant teaching or youth work experience.   

The ability to work effectively with children of the relevant ages is essential, as well as empathy, confidence, flexibility, diligence whilst maintaining a high level of personal integrity and above all, a sense of fun. 

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • To teach, supervise and inspire the children.

  • To help organise, plan, and participate in activities, events, programmes, and outings alongside other teachers

  • Organise creative classroom work

  • Supervise assistants when required

  • Maintain up-to-date attendance and work records

  • Participate in professional development and training

  • Hand in weekly lesson plans to be approved by the Head of the Cheder in advance of weekly sessions

  • Participate in Cheder teacher training of wider Chedarim annually
