Edgware United Synagogue, with almost 2000 members and over 500 children, is one of the largest congregations in the UK and a flagship of the United Synagogue. We cater to a very varied membership and want to further enhance our thriving centre for our children on Shabbat. We are therefore seeking an experienced Children Service Leader as part of our wider strategy to help children understand the service and its prayers.
The ideal candidate must be experienced, creative, enthusiastic and confident in a setting with children. Being able to work with others and plan effectively is also highly important. These services need to engage children from mixed religious backgrounds.
In addition, you will have strong communication skills, as you will be expected to develop the children service volunteers who will be present during these services.
