Bushey United Synagogue is a dynamic, caring, passionate and friendly community that caters for all the needs of one of the largest and most varied Jewish populations in the UK. We are led by an excellent Rabbinic team and have immense potential for growth and development.

We are looking to appoint an individual who can engage with the youth and parts of the Bushey area that have the potential for deeper engagement and new memberships. With Rabbinical learning, you will help bring stability into the role by being part of the community for the long-term.

The ideal candidate will plan, implement, and publicise a variety of authentic and engaging Jewish experiences including informal educational discussion groups, 1-1 study, fun events as well as out-reach style meals and services to empower and build connections.

Applicants should have a solid grounding in Community Development and be able to demonstrate the required organisational and project management skills to take events from conception to execution. Candidates must possess initiative, excellent communication skills and have a passion for Judaism as well as a desire to help nurture this enthusiasm in others.

You must be highly motivated, enthusiastic, and organised and become a positive, hard-working, and energetic role model for our community. You should be able to build relationships with members and non-members who are not closely affiliated with the community. The role will work closely with a dedicated team in the Synagogue and externally with The US Tribe.
