The United Synagogue (US) is looking for a Principal to establish and lead its new and ground-breaking Centre for Rabbinic Excellence (CRE).

The CRE marks a new era for Rabbinic development, aiming to foster an exceptional, motivated Rabbinate.

As well as offering customised development opportunities, the CRE will take a broad, ambitious, and strategic approach to its work. Working closely with the Chief Rabbi, the US professional team and educators, you will inspire and enable the development of the United Synagogue’s spiritual leaders and build and maintain relationships with partner institutions. You will set strategy, oversee programmes, lead and inspire the team and build relationships with the US Rabbinate. You will support the Rabbinic recruitment process as well as nurture rabbinic talent for the future.

The successful candidate will be a dynamic, inspiring, and empathetic leader with the ability to articulate and deliver a clear vision for the CRE. Experience of building relationships and working with a broad range of US stakeholders, especially Rabbinic teams, is essential.

You will have significant experience in mentoring, conflict resolution, using initiative and good judgement in decision making.
