Full Time Rabbi/Rabbinic Couple

Northwood United Synagogue is a well-established, vibrant, modern-orthodox community in a delightful leafy suburb on the North-West side of Greater London, surrounded by woodland and open spaces.  Northwood has excellent transport links and is a short drive from Jewish schools, mikvaot, kosher stores and restaurants.

Our new Rabbi/Rabbinic Couple will be highly self-motivated, energetic, well-organised and have excellent communication skills.  They will utilise these skills to inspire, challenge and engage our members and their families with empathy, warmth, enthusiasm and innovative thinking.

The Rabbi/Rabbinic couple will reflect a modern leadership style, sound judgement and a love of people. He/they will provide religious and spiritual support to the community and will enthusiastically engage with current members and work to attract new ones. You will be passionate about Judaism and the Jewish community and comfortable with the ethos of the United Synagogue.

Reflective of Northwood’s style, the successful candidates will have a modern outlook and are likely to have a secular degree. The successful Rabbi will also have a Semicha which is acceptable to the Chief Rabbi.
