Salary: £15,000 per annum plus accommodation
Hours: 30 working hours split between two people
Bushey Synagogue is a dynamic, caring, passionate and friendly community that caters to one of the largest and most varied Jewish populations in the UK. We have all the warmth and spirit of a regional community powered by the energy of a more typical London community.
We seek to recruit two highly-motivated, enthusiastic Tribe Youth Directors to be positive, hard-working and energetic role models to our community’s youth, building relationships with older children, teens and their families, and bringing in those not yet connected to our vibrant youth scene.
Our Youth Directors will plan and implement innovative and inspirational programs with informal education content, fun events and authentic, varied and engaging Jewish experiences that will empower and enthuse Bushey youth aged 8 to 18 in order that the youth:
- enhance their connections with our community; and
- are enabled to advance in their Jewish and personal development.
Applicants should have considerable experience and be able to demonstrate excellent organisational ability, taking events from conception to execution. You must possess considerable initiative and communication skills and have a passion for Judaism and a desire to help nurture that enthusiasm in others.
The Youth Directors will work closely with a dedicated team in the Synagogue and externally with Tribe.
