Weekly Hours: 35 hours (Including Shabbat and Festivals)

Salary: Dependent on experience (Accommodation included in remuneration package)

Contract type: Fixed Term contract

Stanmore and Canons Park United Synagogue is one of the largest Synagogues in the UK, with a considerable number under the age of 19. We are seeking to recruit a Youth Couple who will help to enhance the informal Jewish education of the Youth and encourage participation in Youth events.

Responsibilities will include organising youth services on Shabbat and festivals, planning and running innovative programs and building relationships with the Youth of the Synagogue. In addition to this, the successful candidates will be expected to host the youth at their home for some meals over the Shabbat and festival periods.

The successful candidates will be working closely with Tribe and existing staff in the synagogue.

Applicants should have proven experience in youth positions and demonstrate the ability to plan events from conception through to execution. You must be able to work on your own initiative, have good organisational, administrative and communication skills as well as demonstrating a passion for Judaism and the desire to help nurture that enthusiasm in others.
